Vital for rural and remote area travel, ARB bull bars will provide substantially improved protection for vulnerable mechanical components against anything the New Zealand conditions have to throw at you whilst providing a solid base for mounting other accessories like driving lights, winches and CB antennas. ARB bars are superbly engineered and manufactured to not only maintain maximum functionality, but also to ensure they complement the look of the vehicle.
Manufactured from steel for ultimate strength and powder coated for durability, the Deluxe bull bar is designed to complement the vehicle’s style and safety systems while offering a solid platform to mount essential 4WD accessories in a seamless and integrated package.
Available for the Jeep Wrangler JK models, the Deluxe bull bar is compatible with a selection of Warn, Smittybilt and Bushranger low mount winches. A cover panel finishes off the bar for when a winch is not fitted. To complement the bar, optional fog light kits are also available.
For added aesthetics, optional colour coding is available on all models.
Note: Suits OE fog lights. Not suitable for Warn Powerplant winch.
The Stubby Bumper has been developed for the off-roader who is after a winch platform, while maintaining maximum clearance for larger diameter tires. Generally vehicles that run larger than 35” tires may rub the tire on the wings of a traditional style ARB Deluxe Bumper. The ARB Stubby Bumper eliminates this issue with the bumper only as wide as the vehicle’s iconic grille panel. Similar to our range of ARB Bumpers, the Stubby Bumpers feature a 3” main tube and each opick-upr wing section with provisions for jacking points. Brackets are provided for fitment of driving lights to the bumper, and .79” thick 350 grade recovery points tie in through the wings and into the chassis mounting directly. The winch platform will allow the mounting of most traditional low-mount style winches and narrow-mount pattern competition type winches. Similar in appearance to ARB’s Sahara style bars without the centre tube, this winch bumper has been specifically designed for the JK Wrangler owner who wants the protection and functionality of a steel bar while retaining the visual appeal of the seven slot grille of the JK.
Every bumper starts its life as a flat sheet of steel. Individual components are cut to shape using ARB's state of the art, computer aided laser cutters which can cut to a tolerance of just 0.2mm with no heat distortion, resulting in superior surface finishes and accuracy.
Individual components are then folded to make up the sections of the bumper using a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machine which ensures maximum accuracy and consistency. Most bumpers utilise ARB's five fold design, with each fold providing additional strength.
ARB Bumpers are made with strong 2.6mm wall thickness tubing. The tube is cut to the desired length and bent with a CNC Eagle internal mandrel bender ensuring consistency, accuracy and an even wall thickness accross all sections.
Once folded, each section is welded utilizing a robot welder. Robot welders are used for straightforward, repetitive welding jobs that require deep penetration, speed and accuracy.
When individual components are complete, the bumper is assebled. All sections including pan, wing, uprights, outer frame and chassis brackets are placed in a jig and tack welded. This is followed by finish welding and grinding for strength and aesthetics. Jigs are assessed regularly to ensure accuracy.
To complete the manufacturing process all ARB bumpers are shot blasted, before entering a 5 stage chemical wash to prepare the surface for maximum powder adhesion. They're then powder coated and oven baked to ensure a rich and durable finish. As well as being an attractive and durable finish, powder coating provides an excellent base for painting if colour coding is required.
