The 300 Series LandCruiser is a large, powerful passenger wagon with extremely good off road and touring capabilities, designed to be used for long distance touring and heavy duty towing duties.

With a similar suspension system to the previous model 200 series LandCruiser, the 300 series features an independent front suspension system with 5 link solid axle rear end. Despite this, there are noticeable differences which must be catered for, including the front bottom strut bush and rear shock absorber mounting being outboard of the chassis.

Old Man Emu suspension systems offer a range of tuned and integrated suspension systems to ensure the right suspension is available to suit the way in which the vehicle is outfitted, as well as the conditions it will encounter. Throughout the Old Man Emu suspension design and engineering process, three main areas of focus have been of particular attention; lift, load carrying and comfort.

OME suspension kits for the 300 Series LandCruiser are compatible with GX, GXL, VX and Sahara variant. Please note – OME suspension is not suited to vehicles with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS).

The complete Old Man Emu suspension range incorporates more than just 4×4 shock absorbers and springs. At ARB, we take integration to the highest level with our own selection of bushes, U bolts, centre bolts, spring liners, trim packers and suspension fitting kits.


Where the purpose of a spring is to carry the load of a vehicle and its cargo, a shock absorber works to control the spring by absorbing excess energy and in doing so, has a profound impact on your vehicle’s ride and handling.

During the development of Old Man Emu’s Nitrocharger Sport shock absorbers, particular focus was placed on how well they are matched to the specific springs they’ll be controlling; with Ride Control Engineers tailoring shock absorber valving to work with the different springs in the range, often resulting in multiple shock absorber options for each vehicle.


A BP-51 suspension upgrade is available to suit your vehicle. Designed, developed and tested entirely in-house by ARB’s team of Old Man Emu ride engineers, BP-51 shock absorbers are engineered for each vehicle and utilise existing suspension mounting locations.

Providing unrivalled comfort and control over all surfaces, the revolutionary internal bypass design ensures there are no exposed fluid transfer channels on the exterior of the shock. This results in a design that suits existing suspension setups and offers greater longevity.
